MISS ANNIE OAKLEY CONTESTANTS READY TO SHOOT IT OUT

These young women will be competing for the title of Miss Annie Oakley prior to the Annie Oakley Festival, which gets underway July 27 and runs through July 29. They are, front row from left, Courtney Osborne, sponsored by New Madison Mini Mart, Alyssa Baumgradener, Greenville Car Wash, Elisabeth Harless, sponsord by Pat and Carol Harless; and Majennica Nealeigh, sponsored by Greenville Farm Power of the Past; and back row, Rachel Francis, Francis Auto Image; Marie Blakeley, Schmitmeyer Organic Dairy Farm, Cailin Litten, Shook’s in Bradford; and Kayla Knapke, sponsored by Philothea Country Club. They will practice on the Darke County Fairgrounds on July 24, compete in preliminaries the next evening and the finals on Friday. Each of those events start at 6 p.m.
