SR 502 CLOSURE ALERT
July 14th, 2012 | by advocate360 |State Route 502 will be closed at Vine Street starting Sunday. This is a 24-hour-a-day closure. The affected section of State Route 502 is scheduled to reopen to motorists Monday.
This road closure is due to a contractor performing railroad crossing repairs.
The official detour route is: IN 227 to IN 32 to State Route 571
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. All work is weather permitting.
Safety is a top priority at ODOT. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
