CREEK CRITTER CRAWL, JULY 14
July 10th, 2012 | by advocate360 |Want a fun, free way to cool off? Grab the whole family and let’s hop into the creek on this hot July afternoon! Meet a Darke County Parks Naturalist at Worth Family Nature Preserve (located on Springhill Road, just off of 502-West) on Saturday, July 14th at 1:00pm and take a short hike down to one of the most pristine stretches of State-Designated Greenville Creek. We will get our feet wet as we explore the flora and fauna indicative of undisturbed streams and evaluate the water quality by stream survey techniques. We will have some nets available for loan, but if you have a dip net, bring it along! Shoes suitable for stream wading are a must! Pre-registration is required. You can pre-register by calling the Nature Center at 937.548.0165. For more information on this and other programs, visit our website at www.darkecountyparks.org
