POULTRY CLINIC, SHOW AND SWAP, JUNE 23
June 18th, 2012 | by advocate360 |The Darke County Poultry Committee is sponsoring a poultry clinic, youth show and poultry open swap on June 23 at the Darke County Fairgrounds. The open swap will be from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Poultry Barn and it is free to set up. The Clinic will start at 9:00 a.m. in the Domestic Arts Building. Bud Blankenship will talk about how to prepare your birds for show and how your bird will be judged. Stacey Roberts will talk about nutrition needs of your birds. Levi King from Kings Poultry will give you tips on how to prepare your birds for processing. Dr. Barmon, DVM will talk about the health of your birds. Dena Wuebker will present the Quality Assurance information for youth with poultry projects. Any youth that attends the complete clinic will be certified for Quality Assurance. The Youth Poultry Show will start at Noon and any youth under age 19 is encouraged to show. Entries for the show will be accepted from 11:00 to noon on the day of the show. The entry fee is $1.00 per bird. The clinic is free but pre-registration is required.
