CROSS-GOLDSMITH GOLF OUTING HELD

May 24th, 2012 | by advocate360 |

On April 21 at the Stillwater Golf Course on the outskirts of Versailles, the Bryan Cross/Jeff Goldsmith Memorial Golf Outing maxed out the golf course with local and out-of-town golfers for the celebration of life of Bryan Cross. Proceeds of the outing go into a fund every year for Jeff Goldsmith’s children and Bryan Cross’s nephew and then also are donated to local charities throughout the community.

For many of these golfers it is the only time that they get to see one another and spend time together remembering the times they had of these two gentlemen. It is not just a day of golf; there are certain games during the course to give a challenge to the golfers such as closest to the pin, longest drive, long drive, skirt hole – hit from the ladies tee, hole in one wins a car from Dave Knapp and longest putt – must be on the green. Also, 50/50 and raffle tickets were sold all day long.

The golfers, friends and family enjoyed a bbq pork chop dinner after the event was done along with Whiskey Business playing for the night. Friends and family would like to thank the hole sponsors who made the outing possible.
