STUFF A BUS THIS FRIDAY

July 31st, 2012 | by unitedway |

Stuff a Bus is this Friday, August 3rd.  Please donate school supplies at the United Way Stuff A Bus day of caring event.  School supplies will then be given to the Darke County school districts for children in need.  Drop off school supplies this Friday at the JCPenney parking lot in Greenville from 9am to 4pm or at the Versailles Savings & Loan from 9am to 2pm in Versailles.  “Your donation will give the children of our community the successful start they need to the school year.  All children deserve a great start in their education and the tools to do well for their future,” states Lauren Henry, executive director at Darke County United Way.  United Way encourages you to help stuff the school bus for the 2012-2013 school year.  Notebooks, backpacks, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, colored pencils, folders, and much more are needed for Darke County students.  This event helps students at Ansonia, Arcanum, Bradford, Franklin Monroe, Greenville, Mississinawa Valley, Tri Village, Versailles and the Board of Developmental Disabilities, Anthony Wayne school.  Thank you to our many special drop off sites during the month of July and many that are still collecting today including: Darke County Chamber of Commerce, Darke County YMCA, Farmers State Bank, Greenville Federal, Greenville National Bank, Second National Bank, McDonalds, and of course supplies can be brought to the United Way office at any time.  If you miss Stuff a Bus this Friday, there is still time to donate; you may bring items to Farmers State Bank until August 13th or the United Way office.  Thank you to our wonderful volunteers through HandsOn West Central Ohio RSVP, Modern Mothers, and the Blue Angels 4-H group.
